Good all-around lens

This is a good all-around lens with a great range. IS is also a big plus. The image quality is good, but not amazing. This isn't an L lens, but for the price and features it delivers good photos. It can be a bit heavy, and the barrel sometimes extends if it is held downwards. Sometimes I find this lens to not be quite wide enough (on a 1.6 crop camera) but the 135mm on the long end really comes in handy.
